Summer Transition Week

8:30 am – 2:50 pm daily for Year 6 pupils.

During Transition Week, our Year 6 pupils will immerse themselves into secondary school and become members of TîmHeolddu. They will follow their Year 7 timetable, meet their new classmates and teachers, and learn to navigate their way around the school with the support of older pupils. Familiarity with their new setting is instrumental in alleviating any apprehensions they may have about the transition. It is completely normal for both pupils and parents to feel a level of anxiety regarding this change; however, these dedicated days are aimed precisely at helping to diminish those worries.

Furthermore, by providing our pupils with this early exposure to their future school experience, we aim to increase their confidence and readiness for September. This proactive approach ensures that they are better equipped to embrace the challenges and opportunities that secondary education presents.
